Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to kickstart the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) Lok Sabha election campaign in Bihar with a rally in Jamui. This marks his inaugural campaign event in the state since the announcement of the elections.
PM Modi, eyeing a third consecutive term in office, will address the rally around noon. The presence of Modi has received commendation from BJP ally Chirag Paswan, who sees it as a matter of pride for the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and the people of Jamui.
Opposition’s Reaction
However, the Opposition views Modi’s visit as an opportunity to scrutinize the government’s performance, particularly in Bihar. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has criticized the NDA, alleging that despite overwhelming support in previous elections, the people of Bihar feel neglected.
BJP’s Defense
In response, senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad defended Modi’s track record, highlighting his accomplishments and vision for the future. He contrasted this with what he described as the opposition’s lack of substance.
Electoral Landscape Overview
