PM Modi to Headline 1st NDA Rally in Andhra Pradesh on March 17

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to join Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party chief, actor Pawan Kalyan, for a significant public rally scheduled in Boppudi village, near Chilakaluripet town, Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district on March 17.

PM Modi NDA Rally in Andhra Pradesh

The announcement follows formal communication from the Prime Minister’s Office confirming Modi’s attendance, as disclosed by a TDP insider. This event marks the inaugural rally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of the state’s assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

During the 2014 elections, Modi, Naidu, and Kalyan jointly addressed election gatherings in Andhra Pradesh, reflecting their previous alliance. Now, with TDP forging an alliance with BJP, Naidu extends an invitation to Modi for this crucial rally, signifying their reconnection within the NDA fold.

With the Jana Sena Party already aligned with the NDA, this event holds significance as the TDP formally re-joins the alliance. The rally aims to set the stage for a new era in state politics, fostering collaboration among the NDA allies towards progress and development.

According to TDP’s official statement, preparations for the rally are in full swing, with party general secretary Nara Lokesh overseeing arrangements. Thirteen coordination committees comprising members from all three parties have been established to ensure a successful event.

The recent seat-sharing agreement among the NDA partners allocates 144 Assembly seats and 17 Lok Sabha seats to TDP, with 21 Assembly and two Lok Sabha seats for Jana Sena, and BJP contesting in 10 Assembly and six Lok Sabha constituencies. This arrangement, as emphasized by Pawan Kalyan, reflects a collective commitment towards the state’s future prosperity.

In a statement, Kalyan expressed optimism that this alliance would pave the way for a prosperous era, focusing on the state’s growth and development over individual interests. The rally, therefore, serves as a significant step towards a unified approach to steer Andhra Pradesh towards progress under NDA’s leadership.
