Punjab: On Thursday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and his wife Gurpreet Kaur were blessed with a baby girl. He took to social media platform X and shared the joyous news, stating that both mother and baby were in good health.
He also shared a picture of the baby. On social media platform X, he said,“God has given the gift of a daughter..Both the mother and the child are healthy…Blessed with baby Girl”.”

The delivery took place at the Fortis Hospital in Ludhiana. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann tied the knot with Dr. Gurpreet Kaur on July 7, 2022. The wedding ceremony was kept simple. The marriage took place in Chandigarh, where several members of the Aam Aadmi Party, including Delhi’s Chief Minister and party convener Arvind Kejriwal, and Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha, were present.
With this news, Mann became the first chief minister of the re-organised Punjab to become a father while in office. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, the wife of Chief Minister Mann, hails from Pehowa in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur gave birth to their newborn at Fortis Hospital in Mohali on Thursday.
