New Delhi: In yet another case of dishonour killing. Father allegedly hacked his daughter in Punjab. Not only this, he kept dragging the dead body for a long distance by his bike. The Punjab Police has given information about this horrific murder. Police said that a man killed his daughter after that he tied her body to a bike and dragged it on the road before dumping it on a railway track in Muchhal village of Punjab’s Amritsar district. According to police he is now in custody.
According to the Punjab Police, the incident took place on Thursday. CCTV footage of this incident has also come to the fore. The police have started investigating this matter. Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused killed his daughter as he suspected her character.
According to reports, the incident happened on Thursday noon. The accused, identified as Dalbir Singh Alias, a labourer, killed her daughter as he doubted she had an affair with someone else.
According to the police, the girl had gone out of the house and when she returned, the man killed her with a sharp weapon. Police said the reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.
A police officer told that ‘the accused imprisoned his family members in the house and threatened to kill them too. They all could not leave the house due to fear. Police is conducting a search operation to arrest the accused. The accused man’s father said that his granddaughter had left home on Wednesday. ‘We searched for her but could not find her. When she returned on Thursday afternoon, her father questioned her. She did not say anything on this.
According to the police FIR, Father attacked his daughter with a sharp weapon, due to which she died. Police said that the accused person has five children, including four daughters. The deceased girl was his third child. The police have taken the girl’s body into custody. He said that she had studied up to class 12 before dropping out.
Another person from the same village claimed that ‘the accused is known to lose his temper’. He often used to fight with his children and wife on small matters. His wife told me that he got angry when the girl returned after she had gone missing. He attacked his daughter with a sharp weapon and killed her.
