Rain lashes parts of Delhi-NCR, bringing the temp down to 10 degrees Celsius

Noida and Ghaziabad have got a big respite from the heat and it rained heavily. However, people had to face difficulties due to rain. Rain on Monday becomes the reason for a pleasant morning with the minimum temperature settling at 19.6 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi: The weather pattern has changed in Delhi-NCR. People in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad have got a big relief from the heat and it has rained here. Videos of this rain have also surfaced. However, people had to face difficulties due to rain. People who had left for school, college or office had to stop midway due to rain.

Let us inform that last evening also it rained in some areas of Delhi NCR and the weather had turned cold. People have got relief from the scorching heat for the time being and the weather is pleasant.

Meanwhile, on Monday morning, the minimum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 19.6 degrees Celsius, which is six notches below the season’s average.

The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be rain with thunder in Delhi-NCR. Here the minimum temperature can be 20 degrees and the maximum temperature can be 26 degrees.

The Meteorological Department also estimates that similar weather may prevail in Delhi-NCR for the whole week and due to rains, excess heat can be relieved. During this time the temperature can remain between 27 to 35 degrees.

Spells of rain hit part of Delhi bringing down the maximum temperature to 28.7 degrees Celsius. 10 notches below the season’s average and the lowest in the month since April 4, 2015, the India Meteorological Department said. Earlier on April 4, 2015, the city recorded a high of 26 degrees Celsius.

Indian Meteorological Department has issued rain and thunderstorm warning for various parts of India.

Earlier on Saturday, the Meteorological Department has predicted hailstorm at isolated places over Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi from May 1 to May 3. Whereas on May 1, hailstorm has been predicted in East Uttar Pradesh.

Meteorological Department issued ‘Orange Alert’
According to Met, Snowfall will continue in Shimla for the next few days. There may be snowfall along with rain in most areas of Uttarakhand. There is a possibility of snowfall in areas with a height of more than 3500 meters. According to the Meteorological Department Bhopal Center, there is a possibility of rain in Jabalpur, Mandla, Dindori, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior today. Apart from this, the department has issued ‘Orange Alert’ due to rain in many areas. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of rain in Bihar, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha.

The maximum temperature recorded in Delhi on April 4, 2015 was 26 degree Celsius. Due to Western Disturbance, it is raining in almost all parts of the country for the last two days. Which is going to continue in the coming days. According to IMD, rain is expected in almost all the states of the country for the next four days. According to Dr. Naresh Kumar, senior scientist of IMD, it will continue to rain in North West India for the next four days. There is a warning of heavy rain in the Western Himalayan region.
