Aircraft crashes near Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, no casualty reported

Rajasthan: On Thursday morning at around 10:20 am, an official said that an unmanned Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft crashed in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, during an operational training sortie. According to the information, a plane crash occurred near Pithala village, about 25 kilometres from Jaisalmer.

Aircraft crashes near Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, no casualty reported

Rajasthan: On Thursday morning at around 10:20 am, an official said that an unmanned Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft crashed in Jaisalmer district of Rajasthan, during an operational training sortie.

According to the information, a plane crash occurred near Pithala village, about 25 kilometres from Jaisalmer. However, there is no information about any casualty in this accident.

On social media platform X, the IAF informed us that a remotely piloted aircraft was involved in an accident near Jaisalmer during a routine training sortie. A Court of Inquiry has been constituted to determine the cause of the accident. As of now, no damage to personnel or property has been reported.

In a statement, the Indian Air Force said on X, “One Remotely Piloted Aircraft of the Indian Air Force was involved in an accident near Jaisalmer today during a routine training sortie. No damage to personnel or property has been reported. A Court of Inquiry has been constituted to determine the cause of the accident.”

After receiving information about this incident, Fire brigade, district and air force officials rushed to the spot and the burning debris was doused. The unmanned aircraft is used to carry out surveillance and spy activities by the IAF. No casualties or injuries have been reported yet.
