Rajasthan’s Barmer : Rajasthan: In a disturbing incident in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, a woman was allegedly paraded half-naked in Sarwadi village. The incident, which has sparked outrage, was reportedly a consequence of the woman’s affair with a married man, according to police reports.
The victim, seen in a video being dragged by the hair while partially unclothed, was reportedly targeted by the wife and family members of the man with whom she allegedly had an affair. The disturbing video of the incident has circulated widely on social media platforms.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police swiftly registered a case at the Samdari police station. Two women allegedly involved in the incident were detained, while the victim was provided with counseling support, said Superintendent of Police Kundan Kawaria.
This incident brings to mind a similar shocking incident that occurred in Belagavi district of Karnataka. In this case, a woman was reportedly paraded naked around seven months ago, with a video of the incident recently surfacing on social media.
The incident in Karnataka reportedly occurred when the survivor and her son were attacked by individuals over a land dispute. The survivor’s daughter lodged a complaint, alleging that her mother was not only beaten but also paraded nude. The accused, according to the complaint, threatened dire consequences if a complaint was lodged.
