Rajnath Singh Compares Shivraj Chouhan to MS Dhoni, Hails Kailash Vijayvargiya as ‘Hardik Pandya’ of MP Politics

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, addressing an event in Indore, drew an interesting analogy by comparing Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, renowned for his finishing skills in world cricket. Singh also lauded BJP candidate Kailash Vijayvargiya, standing for the Indore-1 assembly constituency in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, as the “Hardik Pandya of the state’s politics.”

“I have called Shivraj ji ‘Dhoni’ (Mahendra Singh Dhoni). It doesn’t mean how it started, he knows how to win after a great finish. If Shivraj ji is Dhoni, Kailashji is Hardik Pandya of Madhya Pradesh politics,” Rajnath Singh expressed.

During the event, Rajnath Singh inaugurated Kailash Vijayvargiya’s election office in Indore and emphasized the BJP’s strong presence in Madhya Pradesh, governing the state for the past two decades. He credited the party, along with Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s leadership, for transforming the state from a “Bimaru Rajya” to a progressive one.

Rajnath Singh also highlighted the importance of re-electing the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections, emphasizing the need to continue the state’s development. He mentioned the return of two lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana during Congress leader Kamal Nath’s tenure and stressed the need to promote investment in the state.

Madhya Pradesh, often referred to as the “heart of India,” is set to hold elections on November 17, with the vote count scheduled for December 3. Rajnath Singh concluded by praising Kailash Vijayvargiya as the popular candidate and heartbeat of Indore, pitted against sitting legislator and Congress leader Sanjay Shukla in the Indore-1 constituency.
