Ram Navami 2024: Ahead of Ram Navami on April 17, the Ram Mandir Trust in Ayodhya has made special arrangements for devotees, urging them to watch the live telecast on Doordarshan instead of visiting the temple premises due to the ongoing situation. This year’s Ram Navami holds added significance as it marks the first celebration since the inauguration of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in January, where devotees got a glimpse of Ram Lalla.
To mark the occasion, the Devraha Hans Baba Trust has announced a grand gesture, sending 1,11,111 kilograms of laddoos as prasad to the Ram temple in Ayodhya. This follows a previous offering of 40,000 kg of laddoos during the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha on January 22.
Atul Kumar Saxena, trustee of the Devraha Hans Baba Trust, mentioned that it is a tradition to send laddoos to various temples including the Tirupati Balaji temple and the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
In light of the celebrations, the timings for devotees visiting the Ayodhya Ram Mandir have been extended until 11 pm on Ram Navami, April 17. Champat Rai, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, outlined the schedule for the day.
The day will begin with Mangala Aarti, Abhishek, Shringar, and Darshan from 3:30 am in the Brahma Muhurta. Shringar Aarti will be at 5:00 am, followed by continuous darshan of Shri Ramlala and worship rituals throughout the day. The temple will observe short breaks for bhog offerings to the Lord.
After the regular darshan hours, bhog and shayan aarti will be conducted as per the situation, concluding the day’s festivities.
The temple administration also informed visitors that prasad will be distributed at the temple exit after the shayan aarti on Ram Navami. They requested visitors to safely store their mobile phones, shoes, slippers, large bags, and other prohibited items away from the temple premises.
Additionally, the statement mentioned that from April 16 to April 19, passes such as Sugam Darshan Pass, VIP Darshan Pass, Mangala Aarti Pass, Shringar Aarti Pass, and Shayan Aarti Pass will not be issued, indicating the high volume of devotees expected during this period.
As Ayodhya prepares to celebrate this auspicious occasion, devotees are encouraged to participate in the festivities through the live telecast and adhere to the guidelines provided by the temple authorities.
