Bihar : In a bid to capture the electorate’s imagination ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav unveiled the party’s ambitious manifesto titled ‘Parivartan Patra’. The document, consisting of 24 promises aimed at Bihar’s development, outlines a vision for significant changes if the I.N.D.I.A bloc comes to power.
Central to the manifesto is the promise of providing one crore government jobs across the country, a bold move aimed at addressing the pressing issue of unemployment. Tejashwi Yadav emphasized the RJD’s commitment to delivering on this promise, contrasting it with the unfulfilled promises of others.
Another key proposal in the manifesto is the revival of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), a move aimed at benefiting retired individuals. The RJD believes this step will provide security and financial stability to those in their post-retirement years.
Tejashwi Yadav also announced plans to provide economic relief to the underprivileged, particularly women. As part of this initiative, poor households’ sisters will receive Rs 1 lakh annually on Raksha Bandhan, offering a crucial lifeline to those in need.
In a bid to ease the burden on households, the manifesto promises LPG cylinders at the affordable price of Rs 500. Additionally, the RJD has pledged to work towards securing Special Status for Bihar, recognizing the state’s unique needs and challenges.
The manifesto also outlines plans for enhancing Bihar’s infrastructure. Tejashwi Yadav announced the proposal to construct five new airports in the state, including in Purnea, Bhagalpur, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, and Raxaul. This move aims to improve connectivity and boost economic growth across Bihar.
Commitment to Fulfill Promises
Tejashwi Yadav reiterated the RJD’s commitment to fulfilling these promises, highlighting the party’s track record of delivering on its commitments. The manifesto’s unveiling signals the party’s determination to address critical issues and bring about tangible change for the people of Bihar, should the I.N.D.I.A alliance come to power.
