The victim, Kaif Mohammad, was outside his home in Khaira village when the mishap occurred. Despite being rushed to RTRM Hospital, doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, according to a police officer. Authorities, including the district crime team and power department officials, investigated the site and registered a case at Chhawla Police Station under relevant sections.

Additionally, in another unfortunate event, over eight individuals sustained injuries when a house wall collapsed in Malviya Nagar. The collapse occurred during the thunderstorm, causing minor injuries to occupants of a neighboring house who were on their roof at the time.

The thunderstorm brought strong winds, with speeds ranging from 40 to 70 KMPH, accompanied by light rainfall. This weather phenomenon followed a period of warm weather in the national capital.

Earlier, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an advisory warning of the potential threat posed by strong winds to plantations, crops, and vulnerable structures, such as Kutcha houses. They advised residents to stay indoors, seek safe shelter, and avoid areas with trees to minimize risks.
