UP: 25-year-old man kills his 63-year-old mother in Ghaziabad

Lucknow: On Sunday, an official said that a man killed his 63-year-old elderly mother in Loni area of this Uttar Pradesh district on Saturday. The man identified as Shahrukh and his mother identified as Dilshad Begum .

They also said that the 25-year-old man allegedly hit his elderly mother Dilshad Begum on her face and neck with a sharp weapon, killing her. Three hours later after the incident, Shahrukh reached the police post and alleged that a neighbor in Aman Vihar Colony had murdered his mother.

ACP (Loni), Surya Bali Maurya said that the police found discrepancies in his statement and began his interrogation. During this, Shahrukh confessed to killing Begum and was arrested. He further said that the weapon used in the killing and Shahrukh’s blood-stained clothes have also been found.

After the Preliminary investigations, police said that the accused often assaulted his mother for money to meet his drinking and drug addictions.

Giving details about this incident, ACP (Loni), Surya Bali Maurya said that 2 years ago, he had taken Rs 3 lakh from her on the pretext of setting up a business. However, he returned home after a few months and resumed taking money from Begum. The woman’s body has been sent post-mortem.
