Lucknow: Videos related to wild life often go viral on social media. Now a days, a similar video is becoming increasingly viral on the internet. In a thrilling encounter captured in Uttar Pradesh’s Pilibhit Tiger Reserve, a tiger was seen chasing a sloth bear. A heart-pounding video of the scene shows the sloth bear sprinting for its life as the tiger chases it, with tourists watching anxiously from the safety of their safari vehicle.
The video, captured by wildlife photographer Siddharth Singh, was further shared on X by IFS officer Ramesh Pandey on April 3. The video depicts a tense moment which shows the raw and unpredictable nature of the jungle.
Nearly 15 seconds after the bear passes, the tiger is seen bounding across the road in pursuit, sending tourists on a safari into a frenzy.

Expressing awe at the spectacle, Pandey said, “Tiger chasing a sloth bear in Pilibhit Tiger Reserve. Jungles never cease to amaze us. VC: Siddharth Singh.”
The video went viral with around 52k views and social media users expressed their thoughts in the comments section of the post.
“Love the sight of the galloping tiger,” a user said. “Unbelievable and such an extreme scene. Really awesome,” another person said. “Actually it’s a no contest if it’s a full-grown sloth bear,” another comment read. “That’s not going to be an easy dinner for the tiger,” another said.
A section of the internet even termed the scene as “Real-life Jungle Book stuff right there.”
The gripping footage is a reminder of the untamed beauty and inherent dangers of the natural world. It left wilderness enthusiasts both thrilled and humbled by the wonders of the wilderness.
