West Bengal: On Friday morning, The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the residence of TMC minister Chandranath Sinha in Bolpur, Birbhum, West Bengal. The central investigating agency reached his house early Friday.
According to the information, Meanwhile, central forces were deployed at Chandranath’s house. Chandranath, MLA from Bolpur, is the Minister of State for Small and Cottage Industries.
According to ED sources, Chandranath’s name had cropped up during the investigation of the state’s primary recruitment corruption case.The ED team carried out this operation in Bolpur of Birbhum district of Bengal.
In view of this, officials of the central investigating agency have reached his house. ED officials arrived to conduct the raid along with paramilitary soldiers. The soldiers cordoned off the hideouts of Chandranath Sinha and ED officials are conducting an investigation inside.
