New Delhi: On Tuesday, Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader Manish Sisodia till May 15 in money laundering case. The hearing on framing of charges against the accused in the CBI case has been postponed till May 15 as per the direction of Delhi High Court.
Varanasi: Due to bad weather, the KKR team's flight from Lucknow to Kolkata was diverted to Guwahati late on Monday night. However, an hour later at when it was ready to take off from Guwahati, at 1:20 AM it was diverted again and the table-toppers are currently in Varanasi.
New Delhi: Police said that Four minors allegedly brutally stabbed a 35-year-old man, who had criminal cases registered against him, to death in Jafrabad area of north-east Delhi. The victim has been identified as Nazir alias Nanhe. Police added that all the four attackers have been arrested.
Ranchi:On Tuesday, an official said that The Enforcement Directorate arrested Jharkhand minister Alamgir Alam's personal secretary Sanjiv Lal and the latter's domestic help Jahangir Alam after a recovery of over Rs 32 crore cash from them in Jharkhand. Sources said that after overnight interrogation, both were detained under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and then arrested.
West Bengal: Six people died due to heavy rain and storm in the southern districts of West Bengal on Monday. On Monday morning, the sky was cloudy in most of the districts of South Bengal including Kolkata. A Disaster Management Department official said six people, including a married couple, died in different districts of south Bengal, including in Nadia, Purulia and Purba Bardhaman district.

The mortal remains of Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj were brought to Vrindavan on Monday.

New Delhi: On Monday, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court rejected the bail plea of Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader K Kavitha in the excise policy case. The case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate. K Kavitha was arrested by the ED from Hyderabad on March 15, 2024. She had also sought interim bail for election campaigning.
