New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts light to moderate rain or snowfall is likely over the western Himalayan region till February 21, 2023. Meanwhile, a Western Disturbance in the form of a trough in the mid tropospheric westerly winds is about to knock. Due to this Western Disturbance, light to moderate scattered rain or snow is likely over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and isolated rain/snow over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

According to the Meteorological Department, during February 12 to 14, there is also a possibility of strong winds (speed of 25-35 km per hour) in some parts of the plains of northwest India. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light rain and snowfall at different places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Nagaland from February 12 to 16, along with lightning accompanied by thunder.

On the other hand, after the rains in Himachal Pradesh, the weather will remain dry for the next four days.
