New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many parts of the country today.The IMD said in a statement that scattered to widespread light/moderate rains with thunderstorms, lightning/gusty winds are likely over Western Himalayan region, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. After this, a new round of showers and thunderstorms is likely to begin in the region from March 23.
According to the weather department, rain and hail will continue today in North West, East India. There is an alert of heavy rain till March 21 in the Northeast states.
