New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department forecast predicts light to moderate rain or snowfall is likely over the western Himalayan region till February 21, 2023. Meanwhile, a Western Disturbance in the form of a trough in the mid tropospheric westerly winds is about to knock. Due to this Western Disturbance, light to moderate scattered rain or snow is likely over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and isolated rain/snow over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand

According to IMD, from February 12, 2023, there is a possibility of reduction in the period of light, moderate rain and snowfall in the Western Himalayas. According to the Meteorological Department, rain has been expected in some areas of Jammu-Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Ladakh during the next 24 hours. On the other hand, after the rains in Himachal Pradesh, the weather will remain dry for the next four days.
