IMD predicts moderate to heavy rain occur in these states including Delhi-MP today

New Delhi: Rainfall is expected to continue in Delhi-NCR even today. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will be generally cloudy in Delhi-NCR on July 18 and there is a possibility of moderate rain. IMD has predicted very heavy rainfall at isolated places in Konkan and Goa, Uttarakhand, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, South Gujarat region today.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to continue over Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh till July 18. After this there is a possibility of reduction in rain. The IMD also said that active Monsoon conditions are likely to prevail over central and east India during the next five days.

In Dhanbad, a 10th class student committed suicide by hanging herself. The relatives of the victim told the police that their daughter had gone to school wearing a bindi on Monday. Teacher Sindhu objected to coming wearing a bindi in the school premises and also slapped her in front of everyone. She was so hurt by the teacher's behavior that she committed suicide by hanging herself after reaching home.
